So there, another birthday has passed.
This one came and went without much aplomb, unlike the others before it. There was the midnight lychee martini ice-cream surprise and the chocolate banana cake for lunch, both which I could not indulge in despite them being my favourites. Sigh...
It's terrible to have an upset stomach on your birthday.
But nothing compares to the emptiness of that particular part of your heart that used to hold so much. A void remains, of deafening silence and weepy wounds...
